Prerequisite Requirements

The program you are applying to requires a passing grade of a prerequisite course. You will have the option to submit work experience in addition to the prerequisite submission.

Acute Care CNA:
- Successful completion of Medical Terminology: Anatomy & Physiology
- Recommended basic computer knowledge including Google and Microsoft
- Student must have valid AHA/BLS CPR card prior to start date

Dental Assistant: Level II:
- Recommended basic computer knowledge
- Currently working as a Dental Assistant and/or previously completed Dental Assisting Level I
- Completion of 8-hour Infection Control
- Completion of 2-hour Dental Practice Act
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers card. Certification must stay current throughout the course

Medical Assistant: Clinical & Administrative:
- Successful completion of Medical Terminology: Anatomy & Physiology
- Recommended basic computer knowledge
- NCCT Medical Assistant Certification requires a high school diploma or GED
*For those who do not have a high school diploma or GED, a Medical Assistant certification examination is available through the California Certified Board for Medical Assistant (CCBMA), for approximately $145.
